Welcome to Rogue Poet Awards!

We know, you’re thinking – yet another awards site? Well… yeah, but hopefully we can offer authors and readers something just that little bit different. We aim to be small and intimate, nominations are restricted to two fics per author, and those two fics can only be nominated in two categories. We’ve also got a special category where authors can nominate the reader(s) who really cheers their muse on, so there’s a chance to say thanks.

You'll find we’re mostly Spuffy here, but there are three non-Spuffy categories to cater for other pairings if that takes your fancy. The only restriction is that we always want Spike to be a vampire, and Buffy to be the Slayer, because let’s face it – she needs a bit of monster in her man.

So, what are you waiting for? Go read the categories, the rules and nominate away – let’s make the world… effulgent.

Updates:

May 16, 2008: Round 5 is our first "Best of the Best" round and the nominees for each category are comprised of the "winning" fic from rounds 1 - 4. This round will be judged by the site judges as well as by you, the reader, i.e. a "Judge's Choice" and a "Reader's Choice" will be awarded for each category. The voting form is here, and there are only a few short rules to follow before you cast your vote.

May 15, 2008: Judging is over and the results for Round 4 are in. Congratulations to all the winners - and our nominees! As always, Debs and I just want to thank everyone that continue to support this site - with your nominations, pimping, and creating of fine fic. (And they say fandom is dead. Pfft!)
