Rules

1. All stories [except Best Het (non-Spuffy), Best Slash, and Best General] must focus primarily on Spike/Buffy. No Human A/U or A/R may be nominated - unless as a result of a spell, prophecy, etc. Spike should be a vampire, and Buffy should be the Slayer. (Additionally, the Best Het, Best Slash, and Best General may not be Human A/U. If the character is a vampire on the show, they should be a vampire in the story - again excepting spells, prophecies, etc.)

2. Nominations may be made by the author or someone else. Stories will be screened for eligibility - proper category, relatively error-free writing, prior winner. Email notifications will be sent out to all nominees.

3. No more than two (2) fics by any given author may be nominated and may only be nominated in a maximum of two (2) categories. (If a story that has been nominated is a collaboration between authors, that story counts as one fic for each author, which means the respective authors may only have one more story eligible for nomination.) Best Author and Reader's Choice are exempt from the total as they are decided by the Rogue Poet admin.

4. Each category has a maximum of ten (10) nominations. Once the limit is reached, the category will close. Any future nominations for a closed category will not be held over for the next round - the story must be re-nominated.

5. Stories should have a working url. It is the nominees' responsibility to notify the Rogue Poet admin of any change in url prior to judging. Stories archived on "group pages" (i.e. Yahoo, MSN) are ineligible as the judges may not have access. Stories archived on "journals" are acceptable, provided they are not "friends-locked." Additionally, when nominating these fics, please link to a "memories" page as judges should not have to waste valuable time searching for each successive chapter. Any story not able to be accessed during the judging period will be disqualified.

6. A story that is either a Winner or Runner-up of a given category is ineligible for re-nomination in that category. It may be nominated in others, provided the story meets that category's criteria.

7. Round 6 opens on July 1, 2008. Nominations will be accepted from July 1, 2008 - August 30, 2008. Judging is from September 1, 2008 - September 29, 2008. Winners will be announced on September 30, 2008

8. Stories by SpikesKat and SpikesDeb are ineligible for nomination.

9. On the nomination form where it asks if you've read the rules, enter "Here kitty kitty".
